Interactive learning lab
Explore how an AI trading bot works, one scenario at a time.
Move one setting and watch what changes — and why. Aerolith turns the parts of an automated strategy into small experiments you can understand.
Sample data only. No money, no brokers, no trading.
- Dataprices
- Signalaverage
- Rulecross
- Resulttrades
- Price (sample)
- 20-day average
- Buy signal
- Sell signal
A medium average ignores small wiggles but still reacts to bigger moves: 7 buy signals. Result in this sample: -10.28%.
In plain words
What an AI trading bot actually does
Behind the name there are four simple parts. Each one can be understood — and each one can go wrong.
It reads data
Prices, volumes and sometimes news. Garbage in, garbage out.
Example: the last 120 daily prices. It turns data into a signal
A calculation that says “something is happening”. In AI tools this can be a model; often it is a simple formula.
Example: price is above its 20-day average. It follows rules
Rules decide what to do with a signal: buy, sell, wait — and how much.
Example: buy when price crosses above the average. It has limits
Costs, delays and markets that change. A rule that worked before can stop working.
Example: every trade pays a small fee.

Lesson 1: Following a trend
Make a prediction, run it, and see the explanation. No account needed to try.
Following a trend
Sample data · Simulation- 1. Predict
- 2. Run
- 3. Explain
- 4. Reflect
A simple rule buys when a short average (5 days) crosses above a long one, and sells when it crosses back. The market is a steady upward trend.
Signals, limits, risk
What every beginner should know first
Three ideas that explain most surprises in automated trading.
A signal is not a promise
A signal says “conditions look like this”. It does not know what happens next. The same signal can be right one week and wrong the next.
Every tool has blind spots
Costs, delays, sudden gaps and changing markets are hard to model. Simulations, including ours, simplify them.
Real money can be lost
Anyone promising guaranteed or effortless profits from an AI trading bot is a warning sign. Learn first; decide later — or not at all.
Learning path
Four short lessons
Each lesson takes a few minutes and builds on the one before.
- Lesson 1
Following a trend
How the length of a moving average changes how often a rule trades.
- Lesson 2
Trading a range
Why a trend-following rule struggles when prices go sideways.
- Lesson 3
When the market changes
The same rule in two different markets.
- Lesson 4
Small edges and costs
How fees and slippage change the result of a rule that trades often.

Questions
Common questions
What is Aerolith?
An interactive learning lab. You make predictions about simple trading rules, run them on prepared sample data and read why the results changed.
Who is it for?
Beginners and anyone who wants to understand how automated or AI-based trading tools work before deciding anything.
Do I need any trading experience?
No. Every term is explained when it first appears, and there is a glossary on the How it works page.
What do I get after confirming my email?
All four lessons, saved experiments and reflections, your learning-path progress, and export or deletion of your data.
Is real money used?
Never. Aerolith does not connect to brokers or exchanges, does not hold money and does not place trades.
What does “sample data” mean?
The prices are invented by formulas so that each lesson shows a clear, repeatable situation. They are not real or live prices.
Is there AI in the lab?
The lessons explain how AI trading bots use data, signals and rules. The lab's own explanations come from fixed rules, not from an AI model, so they are always the same for the same numbers.
What data do you keep?
Your email, your lesson progress and experiments, a session while you are signed in, and consent records. No passwords or payment details.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings in the lab and delete your experiments or your whole account. It happens immediately.
How do I stop the newsletter?
Click unsubscribe at the bottom of any newsletter email, or switch it off in Settings. Your lab access stays.
