The lab

Four ways to learn by doing

What each part does, what data it uses and where it stops — in plain words.

Prepared sample data

Interactive Lab

Four lessons where you predict, run an experiment, read why it happened and write down what you learned.

Example: make an average longer and see the number of trades drop from 8 to 4.

What you do
Choose a prediction, move sliders, finish the lesson.
Data
Synthetic prices made from fixed formulas — the same every time, never real prices.
What you get
Saved experiments with your settings and reflections, and a progress path.
Limits
Simple rules on simple data. Real markets are messier.
Plain-language

Strategy Explainers

Short explanations of three classic rule types — following trends, buying dips, breakouts — and when each tends to struggle.

Example: why a trend rule buys near tops in a sideways market.

What you do
Read, then try the same idea in a lesson.
Data
Explanations use the same sample scenarios as the lab.
What you get
Words for what you see: signal, rule, drawdown, exposure.
Limits
Explanations describe the simulation, not the future.
Saved progress

Learning Paths

Lessons in a sensible order, with progress saved to your account so you can continue later.

Example: “2 of 4 lessons — continue with When the market changes”.

What you do
Follow the path or jump to any lesson.
Data
Which lessons you finished and the experiments you saved.
What you get
A clear next step after every lesson.
Limits
Four lessons today; more will be added over time.
Paper trading

Paper Trading Basics

What practising with fake money teaches — and what it hides, like emotions, real fills and changing costs.

Example: the same rule with and without 40 bps of costs per trade side.

What you do
See simulated trades and their costs inside each lesson.
Data
Simulated trades on sample data, executed at the next day's opening price.
What you get
An honest feel for how costs and timing change results.
Limits
No real orders, no brokers, no money — by design.
